Delta Airlines will launch new nonstop service between Austin and Seattle-Tacoma starting Monday, June 12, 2017. With the addition of flights between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and new non-stop service between Austin and Raleigh-Durham scheduled to start March 9, 2017, this will make eight nonstop flights from Austin that Delta Airlines will offer. Delta already offers nonstop service between Austin and Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis / St. Paul, New York (JFK) and Salt Lake City.
The new year round, daily nonstop flights, start June 12, 2017, departing at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) 7 AM, arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) at 9 AM. Return flights from Seattle-Tacoma depart daily at 5 PM, arriving in Austin at 11 PM. The flight will be operated using Airbus A319 aircraft, which have recently been upgraded and offer on-demand inflight entertainment for all passengers.

ViaAir Announces Austin to Oklahoma City, Tucson nonstop flights
ViaAir announced new nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers World Airport and to Tucson International Airport.
ViaAir announced new nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers World Airport (OKC) and to Tucson International Airport (TUS), beginning January 18, 2018. These new flights join ViaAir’s nonstop option from Austin that includes the winter seasonal flights between Austin and Steamboat Springs / Hayden, Colorado started on December 13, 2017.
“Austin is an amazing, fast-growing city. We are thrilled to bring the convenience of direct flights to the markets of Tucson and Oklahoma City as the start of expanded service in the region. We will roll out additional cities throughout next year as we hope to be known as Austin’s hometown airline,” said Matthew Macri, ViaAir’s Vice President of Operations.
ViaAir plans to base crews and maintenance at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, positioning its Austin based operations to expand, the carrier reports.
“ViaAir’s continued growth, connecting two new nonstop destinations to Austin, is welcomed,” said Jim Smith, Executive Director, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. “These Oklahoma City and Tucson additions bring more options for customers and can ease new business and tourism connections for Central Texans. It also adds to the regional carrier’s new seasonal service from Austin to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, starting Dec. 13, 2017.”
Four days per week, the Austin to Oklahoma City nonstop flights depart Austin at 5:05 PM and arrive in Oklahoma City at 6:25 PM, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. In the opposite direction, the nonstop flight departs Oklahoma City at 7:10 PM and arrives in Austin at 8:30 PM. All times are local.
Three days per week, the Austin to Tucson nonstop flight departs Austin at 10:50 AM and arrives in Tucson at 12:20 PM, on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. In the opposite direction, the nonstop flight departs Tucson at 1:05 PM and arrives in Austin at 4:10 PM. All times are local.
ViaAir is partnering with Embark Aviation to commercially manage these flights which includes: pricing, revenue management, network planning, and marketing functions.

Norwegian to Start Nonstop Service from Austin to London Gatwick
Norwegian has announced nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to London Gatwick Airport (LGW), making Austin the first Texas city serviced by Norwegian. Service begins March 27, 2018 and will operate three times per week.

We see great opportunities with our new route, both in terms of lowering trans-Atlantic fares for Austinites and bringing more tourists and business travelers to the region, which will help support thousands of local jobs.”
Norwegian’s new nonstop flight, serviced by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The eight hour flight will depart from the Barbara Jordan Terminal at 4:20 PM and arrive in London at 7:20 PM. Flights depart LGW at 10 AM and arrive in Austin at 2:20 PM. All times are local.
Delta Adds New Austin to Boston Route
Delta Airlines announced nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), starting on Sept. 10, 2017
Delta’s new year round, nonstop flights between Austin and Boston operates six days per week, Mondays-Saturdays and begin Sept. 11. Flights depart Austin at 6:30 AM and arrive in Boston at 12:20 PM. Boston to Austin flights start on Sept. 10 and operate six days per week, Sundays – Fridays. The BOS-AUS flights depart Boston at 7:30 PM and arrive in Austin at 11:10 PM.
The flight will be operated using Airbus A319 aircraft, which have been recently upgraded, offer free on-demand inflight entertainment for all passengers, and includes first class seating.
